Privacy policy

This policy explains how Akeed Car collects, uses, stores and shares your personal data, in accordance with Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law and its implementing regulations.

Data we collect

When you contact us or submit an application, we collect:

Identity data: name, national ID or Iqama number, nationality, date of birth.

Contact data: mobile number, email address, city of residence.

Employment and financial data: employer, salary, existing obligations, length of service, traffic violations, and service suspensions.

Application data: the car requested, down payment, preferred tenor.

Documents you upload yourself: salary certificate, bank statement, ID or Iqama copy.

Limited technical data: the ad source you arrived through, and the time of contact.

We may receive this data from you directly, or through ad forms you fill in on platforms such as TikTok and Meta.

Basis and purpose of processing

We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent when you contact us and submit your application, and solely for the following purposes:

Reviewing your situation and identifying the lenders closest to your case.

Preparing your file and submitting it to the lender you approve.

Following up on your application and communicating with you about it.

Meeting our statutory and accounting obligations.

Data sharing

We share your data with lenders for the purpose of assessing your application, after naming the lender to you and receiving your consent to apply. We do not share your data with any other party except:

Technology service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

Government or judicial authorities where a statutory obligation exists.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

Communication over WhatsApp

Most of our communication with you happens on WhatsApp. The conversation itself is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy; we retain the content of your conversation with us and the documents you send within our systems for the purposes described above. You may ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Where data is held, and for how long

Your data is held with trusted technology service providers, whose servers may be inside or outside Saudi Arabia (including countries of the European Union). We do not transfer your data outside the Kingdom except in the cases permitted by the Personal Data Protection Law and its regulations, and with the required safeguards. We may use artificial intelligence tools from providers outside the Kingdom to help us understand and reply to your messages, under confidentiality obligations and without allowing them to use your data to train their models.

We retain your data for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose of collection and for the period required by accounting and tax regulations, after which it is destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights

The law grants you the following rights:

To know the legal basis and purpose of collecting your data.

To request access to the data we hold about you.

To request a copy of your data in a readable format.

To request correction or updating of your data.

To request destruction of your data once it is no longer needed.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you do not receive a satisfactory response, you may raise a complaint with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).

To request deletion of your data: send us a WhatsApp message from the number registered with us, or email us at info@akeedcar.com. We will confirm your request and delete your data from our systems within a reasonable period, except for what the law requires us to retain.

Data security

We apply organisational and technical measures to protect your data against unauthorised access or disclosure, and restrict access to those who need it to do their job.

We never ask you for banking passwords, card numbers or verification codes. If you are asked for these in our name, it is not us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the most recent update is published at the top of the page.
